(WXYZ) — After a line of strong thunderstorms rolled through Metro Detroit Sunday evening, calmer weather returns for the start of the workweek.
A few showers will linger into Monday morning, otherwise most of the day will be mostly cloudy. Strong northwesterly winds 15-25 mph will pull in cooler air, keeping temperatures in the low to mid 40s for most of the day. Temperatures drop into the mid to upper 20s Monday night and climb back into the low to mid 40s Tuesday. A bit more sunshine is expected Tuesday with lighter winds.
Quiet weather ends early Wednesday as the next storm system moves in. This system will bring a chance for some light snow/sleet very early Wednesday, before transitioning to rain showers for the morning. There is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms again Wednesday afternoon/evening.
