Metro Detroit Weather: Cloudy weekend, plus rain and snow showers next week

Clouds will stick around this weekend. A few light showers will move through parts of Metro Detroit this morning. Otherwise, the afternoon looks dry as temperatures climb into the upper 40s both days. Winds will be breezy today and out of the west-northwest 15-25 mph, before weakening tonight.

Our next storm system arrives Monday, with rain chances increasing throughout the day. High temperatures will be relatively warm with highs in the low 50s. A few rain showers will linger into Tuesday morning, before partly sunny skies return late in the day.

Wednesday will be a good travel day regionally as the weather will be dry across the Great Lakes with highs in the low 40s.

A storm system will pass to our south on Thanksgiving Day, leading to some potential travel impacts by air. For Metro Detroit expect mostly cloudy skies Thanksgiving Day with a slight chance for a rain/snow shower. Temperatures will be chilly with morning lows in the upper 20s and highs in the upper 30s.

Northwesterly winds will keep skies cloudy Friday and through the weekend. Some lake-effect snow showers will be possible each days. Temperatures will be chilly with lows in the mid 20s and highs in the mid 30s.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid to upper 30s. Winds: W 5-10 mph.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 40s. Winds: W 5-10 mph.
