Metro Detroit Weather: Wintry mix continues Monday

Rain, sleet, and snow showers move through early Sunday night. Most of Metro Detroit can expect steady rain, with a mix of sleet and snow mainly north of M-59. Overall rainfall will be around 1/4", with a dusting of snow possible north of M-59. Showers taper down after midnight.

Monday starts off cloudy with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. A few rain, sleet, and snow showers swing through during the day, with no accumulation expected. Winds will be gusty and out of the west-southwest 20-35 mph.

Showers end and winds taper down Monday night. Quiet weather returns Tuesday and continues through Thursday. Highs temperatures gradually start to climb back into the 50s by Thursday.

Tonight: Rain, sleet, and snow showers before midnight, then mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s. Wind: WSW 15-35 mph.
Monday: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain, sleet, and snow showers. Highs in the low 40s. Wind: WSW 20-35 mph.
