Metro Detroit Weather: Getting warmer starting today

Temperatures begin to climb back into the 60s across Metro Detroit Tuesday and Wednesday. The weather will stay quiet Tuesday with some high clouds moving through.

A storm moves into the Midwest Wednesday, bringing us warmer temperatures and gusty winds during the day followed by rain and thunderstorms chances in the evening and overnight. Highs climb into the mid to upper 60s Wednesday, with south-southwest winds 15-30 mph. Rain showers develop during the late afternoon, with thunderstorms likely close to midnight. We will watch and let you know if some storms could get severe. Rain showers continue Thursday with a chance of snow mixing in. No accumulation is expected. Highs peak in the mid 40s Thursday.

Quiet weather returns for Friday with highs near 50°.

Tonight: Mostly clear with lows in the mid 30s. Winds: SSW 10-15 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny with highs in the low 60s. Winds: SW 10-15 mph.
Wednesday: Clouds increase with a rain chance toward the evening. Highs in the mid to upper 60s. Winds: S 15-25 mph.
