We'll have a bit of sunshine Tuesday as skies will be partly sunny early. Then the clouds will increase during the rest of the day. It will be a colder day with high temperatures peaking near 30°. Clouds increase overnight Tuesday, leading to a cloudy Wednesday with highs in the upper 20s.
An icy storm system will have a big impact on our weather Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Warm air will override below freezing temperatures at the surface, which means mostly freezing rain across Metro Detroit. Ice totals will likely be around 0.1-0.25 inches. Slippery and dangerous driving conditions are expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning and power outages will be possible. Temperatures will continue to warm throughout Thursday, helping the ice melt and travel conditions to improve.

Tuesday: Clouds increase. Highs near 30°. Winds: NNW 5-15 mph.
Wednesday: Clouds with a slight chance of a wintry mix toward the end of the day. Highs in the upper 20s. Winds: E 5-15 mph.
