and last updated

It will be another cold night with lows around zero and wind chills by Wednesday morning from 5 to 15 degrees below zero. We won't get our highs above freezing until Sunday.

Clouds will increase Wednesday ahead of our next chance for snow Wednesday night into Thursday. The storm itself will mainly stay to our south, but some light snow showers are possible overnight and into Thursday morning. Accumulation will be minimal, but slippery roadways are possible for the Thursday morning commute.

We get back to drier weather and some sunshine to round out the workweek. Temperatures climb into the 20s Thursday through Saturday, and eventually back above freezing by Sunday.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows near 3° in Detroit and near 0° outside the city. Wind chills: -5° to -15°. Winds: WNW 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Increasing clouds with highs in the mid to upper teens. Winds: NW 5-10 mph.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a slight snow chance, mostly in the morning. Highs in the low 20s. Winds: NW 10 mph.
