Metro Detroit Weather: A rain/snow mix for Wednesday

A storm system moves in from the west Wednesday and will impact our weather through Thursday. Light showers will begin mostly after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. As more moisture moves in we'll transitions to rain south of Detroit through the rest of the morning and into the afternoon.Some snow showers should mix in north of the city during the day. Roads in metro Detroit should stay wet.

Steady showers end Wednesday evening, but scattered showers will continue overnight and into Thursday. As colder air moves in from the northwest, the showers will be a rain/snow mix with little to no snow accumulation expected. High temperatures will be near 40° Thursday.

TONIGHT: Clouds increase late with lows near 30°. Winds: Light.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly dry through 9 AM. After that, rain and snow showers take over wit mostly rain around Detroit and areas south. Highs near 43° in Detroit and a little cooler north of the city. Winds: SSE 5-10 mph.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow showers. Highs in the upper 30s and low 40s. Winds: W 5-15 mph.
