Metro Detroit Weather: Rain moves in overnight

Rain takes over tonight from the south. It will be rain in the morning Friday and then change to snow from north to south throughout the afternoon. Slushy areas on roads are possible, especially in Oakland, Livingston, Macomb, and St. Clair counties late in the day.

Saturday looks to be the nicer day of the weekend with the slight chance for more rain and snow on Sunday.

Tonight: Rain moves into metro Detroit just after midnight. Temps hold in the mid 30s. Winds: Variable 5 mph.

Friday: Rain in the morning. It will try try to change to snow, first north of M-59 in the early afternoon and last around Detroit in the late afternoon. Very little snow accumulation is expected in most areas. There could be a slushy inch of snow on some roads in Oakland, Livingston, Macomb, and St. Clair counties late in the day. Highs will hold in the mid 30s and then fall off in the afternoon. Winds: NNE 5-15 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny with highs near 30°. Winds E 5-10 mph.
