The Detroit Lions have released edge rusher James Houston, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The 26-year-old was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 draft and had eight sacks in seven games during his rookie year.
He dealt with an injury in 2023, but was in and out of the lineup this season. He played in eight games and had eight tackles and a sack for the Lions.
