Are you a huge Jimmy Buffet fan? Have you always dreamed about escaping to “Margaritaville” and never again having to face the stress of the real world?

Well, here is some good news: It was just announced that construction is underway for a “Margaritaville”-themed retirement home. Yup, senior citizens will be having a swinging time, getting “wasted away in Margaritaville, searching for their lost shaker of”…Epsom salt? We kid!

Located in Daytona, Florida, the Latitude Margaritaville retirement community sounds like it is going to be massive. There’s going to be a fitness center, an indoor lap pool and spa and an outdoor resort-style pool. Not to mention, a private oceanfront beach club (with free beach shuttle included). There will also be a big on-site shopping plaza that will include a grocery store as well as eateries and shops.

Not sold yet? Well, executives with Margaritaville dropped a hint that a certain celebrity guest may make an appearance, telling The Daytona-Beach News Journal, “You never know when or where Jimmy Buffett may show up to do a concert.”

Whether or not Buffet makes an appearance, music will be a big part of the Margaritaville community. The retirement home will also endeavor to create a “no worries” vibe that they hope helps residents to slow down, relax and enjoy themselves.

Homes in Latitude Margaritaville are projected to be completed by early next year. The sales center opens in fall of this year, and home prices start in the low $200s.

Latitude Margaritaville also plans to offer food and drinks from the Margaritaville chain of restaurants. Yep. So while you are hard at work, Grandma and Grandpa will be down in Margaritaville enjoying crispy cocunut shrimp, burgers in paradise, and of course, pina coladas—essentially a never-ending spring break!

But hey, they deserve it. And, we bet they would just love a visit from their grandkids for a weekend…or two.
