Fans at a recent Adele concert in Phoenix got a piece of exciting news on top of a great performance.
The 28-year-old English singer-songwriter made a surprisingly personal announcement as she wrapped up the last U.S. show of her world tour at the Talking Stick Resort Arena earlier this month.
“Give it up for my band! Give it up for me! I did it! I’ll see you on the other side,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “I’m going to go have another baby!”
Though it’s not clear if she’s already pregnant, TMZ reports that Adele and her band shared some champagne after the show, so it seems more likely that she’s simply planning to have a second baby soon.
It’s no secret that Adele has babies on the brain. In October, she told fans at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena that her son Angelo was growing up too fast, according to E! Online.
“My son is about to turn four very, very soon,” she said. “I’m starting to get very emotional about it because I feel like once they turn four, they’re not really your actual baby anymore. So, my womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby.”
Adele has just one son with her longtime partner Simon Konecki, who also has a daughter from a previous marriage, but it looks like that could change soon. She’s clearly adored by her family, as a recent Instragram post shows.
Adele shared a photo of a hand-painted banner welcoming her home that says, “Mummy You Did It!!!”
She performed 107 live shows in just 10 months and will resume her tour in Australia and New Zealand in March.
“My band and my crew you made the whole thing turn,” the British songbird wrote in the photo’s caption. “And my beautiful family made it easy for me to do.”
She told fans earlier this year that after the tour, she’ll be taking a break from music. We hope not for very long!
