Michigan State Police say three people have died after a crash along M-14 in Plymouth Township on Wednesday morning.
According to police, a 2024 Nissan Rogue was traveling the wrong way on eastbound M-14 and had exited the freeway onto the eastbound entrance ramp from Gotfredson Rd. The Rogue hit a Tesla head-on that was attempting to enter eastbound M-14.
Police say a 53-year-old man from Munith, MI who was driving the Tesla died in the crash.
The driver and passenger of the Nissan Rogue, a 31-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both from Battle Creek, also died in the crash.
MSP said it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a facator in the crash.
According MSP, both eastbound and westbound M-14 are open, but the entrance ramp from Gotfredson to eastbound M-14 is closed for an indefinite period of time while troopers investigate the crash.
