A dog is getting medical treatment at the Oakland Veterinary Referral Services in Bloomfield Township after something may have burned its back.
A Good Samaritan brought the dog to Detroit Dog Rescue. Staff believe it could be a chemical burn.
Whatever the cause of the burn may be, staff want to know what happened and who the owner of the dog is.
"It looks like a chemical burn down her back, it looks like an old wound," said Kristina Rinaldi, executive director of Detroit Dog Rescue.
Once the dog is treated and taken care of, it will be taken back to Detroit Dog Rescue.
