Michigan State Police are searching for the thief caught on camera stalking a UPS truck, then taking a family’s deliveries.
“Our packages didn’t show up when we expected them too. We thought, give it another day or two,” said Jeff Ternes.
A couple days passed. His wife called UPS. UPS insisted the delivery was made on Tuesday to their Armada home. His wife asked their neighbor, who has surveillance cameras, if they had video of the delivery.
The video showed the UPS driver make the delivery, not knowing, that apparently someone was waiting.
As soon as the UPS truck pulls out of the drive-way, the thief pulls in. She grabs two packages.
“It is really Grinchy this time of year. People work hard for their money,” said Tina Morris, the next-door-neighbor of the victim.
“It really bothered me,” said Ternes. “You think you live out in a safe area where you don’t have to think about locking everything up. It kind of changed that.”
The thief got away with some small Christmas gifts and stuff to make a cake for Jeff’s mom’s birthday. Neighbors lent his wife what she needed so she still managed to make a wonderful cake. Now they hope the surveillance video brings that thief to justice before she targets someone else.
