A St. Clair Shores woman is sending a serious warning out to metro Detroiters and beyond.
She wants people to be on the lookout for a breeder she found on a site called Hobly.com.
She claims that breeder sold sick golden retriever puppies to her and several other families in Michigan and Ohio.
The animals had several diseases and infections. She tells 7 Action News the vet records and documents from the breeder were falsified.
The animals that were medicated were not injected in the proper manner.
“It’s sad that she would do this to families, especially the animals that are suffering life long. One of the dogs just died,” the new pet owner tells 7 Action News.
Her now 11-week-old puppy, named Lexi, is doing much better but is not out of the woods just yet.
She is still fighting off some of the infections she was diagnosed with at 7-weeks-old.
The woman says the breeder goes by different surnames, usernames and phone numbers on Hobly.com.
She is hoping, if there are other victims out there, that the breeder can be caught before she strikes again.
She believes this is a scam and the breeder is praying on people and pets.
So far we’re told the breeder has taken thousands of dollars from unsuspecting victims. They believe she absolutely knew the animals were sick when she sold them.
The breeder is described as a white female with dark, mid-length hair driving a Range Rover, a mini van or a Mustang. She meets people in store parking lots.
If you think you know something about the breeder, call St. Clair Shores police.
