Comerica Bank is launching its inaugural Prom Dress drive in partnership with Hope Closet.

The community is invited to donate their new or gently used formal dresses and accessories at select Comerica locations from March 20 through April 7. Accessories such as jewelry, shoes, purses and wraps will also be collected.

Hope Closet provides free formal dresses and accessories for high school students from across the state to wear to special events like prom.

Monica Martinez is the Senior Vice President of External Affairs at Comerica Bank.

She said, "Prom was so exciting, I think the dress has a lot to do with it."

"Anything you might have in your closet that may be collecting some dust. Some young woman might be very grateful to be able to get something that will make her feel beautiful."

"We're really hoping that some young lady will consider having that beautiful dress be someone else's beautiful dress, so that they can feel as great as they did on that special day," she added.
