DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police in Detroit say a man they were looking for in connection to a homicide that happened on the city’s east side on Monday has been taken into custody.
The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. on Kercheval Avenue near Belvidere Street.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s shot and killed.
Police say the suspect, Craig Michael Bergeron, took off from the scene in a white SUV. They were looking for Bergeron, who is 34 years old.
7 News Detroit has removed a photo that was previously in this article since police are no longer looking for the suspect and he has not yet been formally charged.
