BROWN COUNTY, Ind. -- Vice President Mike Pence returned to his home state of Indiana this weekend to celebrate his son's wedding.

Pence arrived at Brown County State Park near Bloomington on Friday afternoon.

Pence's son, Michael, and Sarah Whiteside are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Macy's with a wedding date listed as October 21. The couple officially married last December in a small ceremony at the governor's mansion in Indianapolis while Pence was still governor of Indiana.

State Park Property Manager Doug Baird would not confirm the vice president's visit but said that the park will remain open to the public and they do not anticipate any increased traffic issues.
