In a Thursday morning tweet, President Donald Trump called Time's decision to name climate activist Greta Thunberg "ridiculous," and tweeted a personal attack toward the teenager.

Trump's tweet comes a day after Time named Thunberg the "Person of the Year" in 2019.

"So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!" Trump tweeted.

Thunberg later responded to Trump's tweet by updating the biography section on her Twitter profile to read, "A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend."

Thunberg sailed across the Atlantic Ocean in 2019 in a solar-powered boat and arrived in New York to speak in front of the United Nations about climate change. She's since traveled to other countries, often scolding world leaders for their inaction on the pressing climate crisis.

Trump was Time's "Person of the Year" in 2016 following the presidential election. In 2017, Trump suspected on Twitter that he would be named "Person of the Year" a second time, but lost out to the "Silence Breakers" — women who came forward to report sexual misconduct, sparking the #MeToo movement.
