Strongsville, Ohio police have been investigating an incident all night long into Tuesday morning after receiving a call from a man who said his wife had been killed.

Police haven't released any information about their investigation.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office confirms Melinda Pleskovic, 49, of Strongsville, is the woman who was killed.

Pleskovic was a 6th-grade teacher for the Strongsville City Schools.

The Strongsville City Schools released the following statement.

We have been informed of an investigation being conducted by the Strongsville Police Department regarding an incident at the home of one of our 6th-grade teachers.  As this is an ongoing police investigation, we are unable to comment any further at this time.  We will, however, have crisis counselors on hand for students to speak with as we are aware this is unsettling and has been publicized through the media.

The scene at Blazing Star Drive was cluttered with police who were on scene since 10 p.m. Monday night.

Evidence markers and police tape surrounded one home on the street.

A man called 911 saying he thinks someone broke into his home and killed his wife, according to the 911 call.

The caller told dispatch: "I think someone killed my wife.

Dispatch: "You think someone killed your wife?:

The caller: "Yeah. It looks like she has stab wounds on her back. We've had people trying to break into our house all year."

The man said he called police as soon as he got home when he found his wife. He told police he was with his new son-in-law when he got to his home.

A neighbor told Cleveland-based WEWS the woman who the caller was referring to is a Strongsville teacher.
