Green Bay Packers fans were on eggshells Sunday afternoon after quarterback Aaron Rodgers was injured, and he could be out for the year.

The Packers said Rodgers hurt his right throwing shoulder during a play early in the game. After halftime, they ruled him out.

The Packers confirmed he has a broken collarbone and the remainder of the year is in question.

Anthony Barr drove Rodgers into the ground after a pass he throw in the first quarter.

Initial views of the play seemed to show that Rodgers used his hand to soften the blow. He was carted off the field to the locker room.

Rodgers used his left arm to high-five backup quarterback Brett Hundley as he left the field.
