PUEBLO, Colo. — A puppy thrown against a car in Pueblo, Colorado, by a man police say was high on methamphetamine is going to be placed for adoption Friday, according to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
The puppy, named "Bob," will be up for adoption and HSPPR said the process will be different due to the amount of interest many people had in him.
Those wishing to adopt will be entered in a drawing starting at 11:30 a.m. MT.
If you'd like to try to adopt Bob, first you will have to fill out an adoption application at the Pueblo shelter located on 4600 Eagleridge Place.
Applications will need to be submitted by noon to be considered in the drawing. Staff members at the shelter will run the names off applications in their database and select someone around 12:30 p.m. MT.
HSPPR said the adoption fee for Bob is $400, which includes his neuter, vaccines, voucher for veterinary exam, 30 days of pet health insurance and a dog license.
If the person who is drawn meets with Bob and they feel it is not the right match, HSPPR said there will be another name pulled from the drawing.
