Man admits to setting illegal trap resulting in Montana dog's death

A Missoula, Montana, family recently lost their dog after it got stuck in an illegal trap .

The man responsible for the traps recently pleaded guilty to criminal charges.

According to court documents, the defendant, Jaymz Partida, was cited for failure to recess a trap, and for setting four traps without tags.

The dog was caught in the trap in Missoula.

Sentencing for Partida is set for Wednesday, Dec. 18th at 3 p.m.
