The former president's running mate, Sen. JD Vance, had an event in Flint Monday afternoon.

"I'm sure every single person in this auditorium knows somebody who's going to vote the wrong way tomorrow and I want to ask two things. First of all, try as hard as you can over the next 24 hours to make sure they vote the right way because we’ve got to get Donald J. Trump back in the White House,” Vance said in Flint.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers held a rally in Mount Clemens on Monday. He encouraged people to not only vote for him but Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot.

“Listen, they may have Bon Jovi, but we've got auto workers — that's what matters. They may have Taylor Swift, but you know what? We've got Teamsters,” Rogers said.

Rogers referenced rallies by Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. In Detroit Monday night, Walz and his wife Glen held a rally at Hart Plaza with musical guests including the Detroit Youth Choir, Jon Bon Jovi, Michael Stipe with R.E.M. and Michael and Tanya Trotter of "The War and Treaty."

Many voters we spoke with Monday night said they submitted their ballots early.

"When we see a red state, it's gonna make a huge impact and we'll be clapping at our televisions at home supporting the people that we have been out to support this whole election year," voter Maria Polsinelli said. "I think we made a huge impact and we're gonna get it right."

Trump held his final events of the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns in Grand Rapids. In both years, the speeches went into the early morning hours of Election Day.

Both campaigns have been visiting the battleground state frequently as Election Day nears.
