An iconic gym that created dozens of world champions was destroyed in a massive fire.
Flames ripped through an abandoned building on McGraw and Junction Saturday night that was once home to the famed Kronk Gym.
"This is a landmark of all great champions in this city," says Thomas Hearns. "We had guys that didn't do many things in boxing, but they did a lot in the community and tried to help people."
The roof collapsed and the basement is severely damaged.
Hearns is calling on the city to make repairs to the building.
Investigators have not determined what caused the fire.
