Woman in custody after allegedly being involved in a Detroit homicide

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police say a woman they were looking for was taken into custody after they said she was involved in a deadly shooting on the city’s east side on Monday.

Police say they were dispatched to the area of McClellan Avenue and Lessing Street. Police said they found the body of a 20-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

The suspects got away in a dark-colored SUV.

Police released photos of a woman they were looking for. Since she was taken into custody, 7 News Detroit has removed her photos.

Police are investigating her and two men's involvement in the homicide.
